Motorola has presented its new Motorola Edge 40 Pro , a smartphone with a curved design and top-of-the-range features. Like all members of the Edge family, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro is designed to offer excellent comfort thanks also to the borderless curved display that eliminates the frames, offering better use of video content.
--> The device offers an anti-fingerprint coating on the front and an anti-reflection glass on the back, all accompanied by the protection of Gorilla Glass Victus which provides greater safety in case of accidental drops. The IP68 certification ensures that the device is protected underwater up to 1.5 meters in fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
The 6.67-inch borderless POLED FHD+ display features a 165Hz refresh rate to guarantee excellent fluidity during use of the device in gaming and in everyday use. Inside the device we find a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that offers 35% more CPU performance, 25% more GPU performance and 40% more energy efficiency than its predecessor.
Motorola Edge 40 Pro is also equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 to guarantee speed and overall efficiency of the device on a par with the main Android top of the range. The 256GB internal memory allows you to store data without worrying about the remaining space available.
--> The photographic sector is composed of a triple high resolution camera. The 50MP sensor features OIS, essential for eliminating judder from photos, and instant all-pixel focus, which provides 32 times more focus pixels than conventional PDAF. Edge 40 Pro also features a 50MP ultrawide camera with Macro Vision and a 12MP 2x telephoto portrait camera. For selfies, the Edge 40 Pro features a 60MP camera with Snapdragon's Cognitive Image Signal Processor, which uses AI to divide each scene into different segments. In this way, the elements in the background are independently optimized for greater color accuracy and a more realistic photo. The device also allows you to record video in 8K and 4K HDR10+.
From a software point of view, Motorola has introduced some features designed to enrich the device's camera hardware, including new video shooting modes, such as:
Video Night Vision: In low-light environments, users can switch to night vision to capture brighter footage with more detail and truer colors. Horizon Lock Stabilization : when practicing extreme sports such as mountain biking or skiing, this function allows you to keep the shots stabilized and locked on the horizon, even by rotating the device 360°. Video Auto Focus Tracking : allows you to keep the subject in focus even when it is moving. Video Portrait (bokeh): In video mode, users can automatically blur the background behind the subject being shot, thanks to a new algorithm based on artificial intelligence. --> Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a 4600 mAh battery and is equipped with 125W TurboPower charging, capable of completing an entire device charging cycle in just 23 minutes, to offer up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge. The device also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging.
Support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technology, thanks to the two large built-in stereo speakers, offer a high-level audio-video experience . The device is equipped with Android 13 and integrates some exclusive gestures implemented by Motorola, which can be customized according to the style of each user.
