How do I access Midjourney?

Midjourney: how to use it
Once we have accessed Midjourney, to start creating images we must enter one of the rooms in the Newcomer Rooms section, called newbies and followed by a number, found in the left column. To generate an image, just click in the text string of Midjourney (next to the "+") and type the command "/imagine" followed in the prompt by a text description of the image we have in mind. For example, typing "/imagine the night sky full of fireworks" will cause Midjourney to start generating 4 images of the night sky full of fireworks. During the first use of Midjourney, we will have access to a free trial period which allows us to use the service for 200 minutes per month. After that, we will have to subscribe to a premium account if we want to continue using it.Good to know: The 200 minutes do not measure our time on Midjourney: they are rather 200 GPU minutes (fast time) and measure the "cost of calculation" of the image generation. When we run a new “/image” prompt, the average cost is around 0.75 GPU minutes (but a lot depends on the parameters we attribute to the image).
How to edit Midjourney images
To each of our requests, MidJourney responds with 4 themed images, which we can modify using the buttons that appear below the grid. In this case, the "U" buttons are used to enlarge one of the images while maintaining the quality, while the "V" buttons allow you to create slight variations of a selected image (both are numbered and refer to the 4 images in order of appearance).Good to know: clicking with the right mouse button on the 4 images opens a contextual menu that offers us various options.

The No parameter, on the other hand, is used to eliminate something from the newly generated image. Example: --no plants will give Midjourney the indication to remove plants from a photo.
Special attention also deserves the advanced prompts, which allow, among other things, to load an image on Midjourney and modify it in an artistic way.
Good to know: when we find ourselves in front of a particularly suggestive image, created with Midjourney, such as the photos of Trump's fake arrest, for example, we must not think that it took a minute to achieve it: the most realistic and beautiful photos, above all, can also require hundreds of revisions, with the introduction of new parameters at each step.

Midjourney allows everyone to create an illustration or a photo inspired by the great artists of the past: just give it a general indication such as " in the style of Leonardo " to obtain a painting that mimics the style of the great artist. Among the various options, in fact, there is also the possibility of selecting the style of a famous artist.

The V5 version of Midjourney, released on recently, introduces several improvements making the AI image generator even more versatile and powerful. For example, the stylistic options have increased and the image quality is higher, both in resolution and dynamic range, which translates into sharper and more precise images than previous versions.
But it is in the realism that MidJourney V5 makes the difference: the photos, above all, are more detailed and it seems that the program is finally learning to draw hands (its weak point).
Not only that: Midjourney V5 has also introduced natural language, which encourages users to structure prompts in the form of sentences, for greater clarity and readability (previously, instead, they proceeded by keyword).
Good to know: the highly anticipated version 6 of Midjourney should be released already in the next 2 or 3 months, further expanding the platform's functionality.
