Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Sōsō no Frieren) will be directed by Keiichiro Saitō , written by Tomohiro Suzuki and drawn by Reiko Nagasawa , with Atsumi Tanezaki set to play the lead. Frieren and his brave companions defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. But this will continue to live even beyond the rest of her group. Will she then be able to understand what life means to the people around her? Decades after their victory, the funeral of one of her companions puts Frieren before her immortality. So he sets out to fulfill the last wishes of his companions and finds himself starting a new adventure…
We remind you that Yamada and Abe's original manga (which you can easily retrieve on Amazon) was launched in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in April 2020. It is a story that has won several awards, including the New Creator Prize for the 25th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2021 and the 14th Manga Taisho Award in the same year. Additionally, it was nominated for Best Shōnen Manga for Kodansha's 45th Annual Manga Awards also in 2021, and for the 46th award in May 2022. It was also listed in the top ten best graphic novels of 2022, by The American Library Association's Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table.
