Concorso di Eleganza Villa d'Este 2023: date, program and tickets
Concorso di Eleganza Villa d'Este 2023
The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is an elegance competition dedicated to cars which has been held every year since 1929 on the shores of Lake Como, in Villa d'Este and Villa Erba, generally between April and May. The main prize, known as the Coppa d'Oro, is awarded to the car with the most beautiful bodywork, awarded through a referendum among the visitors to the competition.
Organized for the first time in 1929 by the Grand Hotel Villa d' Este and the Automobile Club of Como, canceled in 1937 and re-launched in 1947, the competition awarded prizes to models that have made the history of the automobile; from the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Coupé to the Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8, up to the more modern Aston Martin One-77 and Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring.
During the event, more prizes can be awarded in addition to the prestigious Cup Golden ; in fact, it is not uncommon to vote for the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes. The Competition is a real stage to all intents and purposes, for historic cars, cars still in their embryonic stage and prototypes. This year the appointment is set from 19 to 21 May, precisely from Friday to Sunday.
