Announced the new anime for the prequel of Ultimate Muscle

Announced the new anime for the prequel of Ultimate Muscle , Kinnikuman , on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the anime series inspired by the manga about wrestling and not only created by the mangaka associates who sign with the pseudonym Yudetamago (Yoshinori Nakai and Takashi Shimada).

The manga and the anime adaptation have never reached our country, however the sequel, Ultimate Muscle , is very well known especially for the generation of anime lovers of the early 2000s. The sequel anime series aired in Italy for the first time in 2005 on K2 and Jetix for a total of 77 episodes.

The debut of the 'anime took place in 1983 and to celebrate the announcement, a first key image was released which we can  look at below:

The mangaka duo further confirmed the white smoke of the new project and commented with the following words the announcement through the pages of number 81 of the original manga, which is still in progress, released today in Japan and online stores:

We have a surprise for those who have been following and supporting Kinnikuman for a long time: a new anime is in production to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the adaptation. At this point an animated film and a live-action for Hollywood may not be so much a dream, as well as Yudetamago on the red carpet. But probably the latter will remain only a dream…

--> The Kinnikuman manga series, on the other hand, began in 1979 by the manga duo Yudetamago. The manga was published in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1979 to 1987 and then, after 24 years, precisely from April 28, 2011, online in Shu Play News (Shueisha). In Italy, as anticipated at the beginning, the work is unpublished. Subsequently, the duo made the sequel to Kinnikuman, Ultimate Muscle, in Weekly Playboy (Shueisha) from 1998 to 2005 for a total of 29 volumes. The sequel is also unreleased in Italy.

As for the anime, however, the first version of Kinnikuman created by the animation studio Toei Animation consists of two seasons for a total of 183 episodes. The anime aired from 1983 to 1992.
