The launch event dedicated to the Honor Magic family held in the beautiful setting of the MWC in Barcelona allowed the brand to raise the red cloth to various innovations.
In addition to the announcement of the new series of top of the range Honor Magic5, the company has confirmed that the foldable Honor Magic Vs is also arriving in our country!

The first real challenger of Z Fold in Italy
Shown for the first time in China at the end of 2022, Honor Magic Vs is the first foldable book to land in Italy to fight Samsung's monopoly in the sector. It is a foldable with high-end technical specifications dedicated to the most demanding users.Honor Magic Vs is thin and light, with a thickness of only 12.9 mm when folded and a weight of 267 grams. Despite this, Magic Vs is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, the largest among mainstream foldable smartphones of this design.
The encumbrance is also reduced thanks to the new gearless hinge, which allows the smartphone to close completely without leave spaces between the two halves of the device. Honor has stated that the original Magic V's hinge had 92 components, and that this new hinge now consists of only four parts. This hinge has a resistance of 400,000 openings or 100 folds/day for 10 years.
When closed, Magic Vs shows a 6.45-inch fullHD OLED display at 120Hz, with a 90% screen/surface area. The 21:9 aspect ratio guarantees a user experience not unlike a traditional smartphone. When unfolded, Honor Magic Vs offers an experience comparable to that of a tablet with an internal 7.9-inch display at 90Hz and 2K resolution. The crease usually visible in the internal display of foldables has practically been eliminated completely.
For the rest, the Magic Vs is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory. It supports 66W charging which brings the smartphone back to 100% in just 46 minutes.
On the back, Honor Magic Vs mounts three cameras. The main one has a 54MP Sony IMX800 sensor, the same as the Honor 70. The other two are a 50MP wide-angle camera that can also be used for macro shots thanks to autofocus and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Both screens have a hole that contains a convenient 16MP selfie camera.

Honor Magic5: the flagship series that will win you over
The main protagonist of today's event, however, is another one: Honor Magic5 Pro. Building on the excellent foundations established last year by the Honor Magic4 Pro, the new top of the range aims even higher.Starting from the design, the Honor Magic5 Pro has a round and symmetrical photographic compartment on the back, which starts from the lines defined by the Eye of Muse company last year. Honor introduces the Star Wheel Triple Camera system with the Magic5 Pro.

But Honor Magic5 Pro is not only meant to be pleasing to the eye when viewed from the rear, the 6.81″ LTPO display is meant to captivate. The panel is curved on four sides and features an innovative display luminance enhancement technology, delivering a peak HDR brightness of 1800 nits. With dual luminance calibration for a typical brightness of 120 nits indoors and 800 nits outdoors, the Honor Magic5 Pro delivers color accuracy in any environment.
Certified with HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced, Honor Magic5 Pro allows users to enjoy videos and movies with optimized image quality also thanks to the dedicated Discrete Display chip, which offers an always-on HDR effect to improve video sharpness and guarantees a frequency frame rate with lower power consumption. TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification and Dynamic Dimming function that simulates natural light, relieves eye fatigue.
Finally, Honor is pleased to announce that Magic5 Pro has achieved excellent performance overall display, reaching the 1st place in the DxOMark ranking of smartphone displays with a score of 151 .
Not only in display technology, Honor Magic5 Pro also broke every record in the DxOMark ranking dedicated to cameras with an overall score of 152 which positioned the new flagship ahead of all others.
Honor Magic5 Pro is equipped with a triple camera which includes a 50MP wide angle, a 50MP ultra wide angle and a 50MP telephoto camera. With a larger sensor size for better performance in the dark, the system uses computational photography technique with the proprietary Ultra Fusion algorithm, which also improves image sharpness with a digital zoom from 3.5x to 100x.
