Homura Kawamoto, author of Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler (published in Italy by J-POP), is working on a new manga, as reported by the October issue of Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine, together with Ryō Yajima. Let's see all the details.

The new series is called Yūsha Party no Nimotsu Mochi (Porter of Heroes or The Hero Party's Pack Mule) and will be published in the next issue of Gangan Joker magazine out October 21. Kawamoto is credited as the author of the story, while Yajima is the draftsman.

The fantasy story is set in a world where the evil dark lord has already been defeated. The protagonist Lidy has no fighting skills, except one neglected but necessary skill: carrying equipment. Lidy was more than honored to be part of the group of heroes carrying their equipment, but after the Dark Lord is defeated, Lidy separates herself from the heroes on good terms and sets out on the adventure for the first time.

The manga inspired an anime series that aired from July to September 2017 in Japan. The series debuted outside Japan on Netflix in February 2018. The second season of the anime premiered in January 2019, and Netflix began streaming the series in June 2019.

The manga has also inspired a live -action of 10 episodes that premiered in Japan in January 2018 then arrived on Netflix. The sequel to the live-action film was scheduled for May 12 after a delay due to COVID-19, but was once again delayed to June 1 due to the state of emergency in Japan.
