Samsung Odyssey Ark, the ambitious gaming theater lands in Italy
Samsung Odyssey Ark
Samsung defines its Odyssey Ark, a multimedia monitor, curved, designed for gaming, but not only, a Gaming Theater. With this definition, the Korean giant wants to try to embrace all the souls of this new, ambitious product in a single concept. This is because the Samsung Odyssey Ark, with its reduced response times and the integrated Gaming Hub, was born for gamers, but has many other features that make it suitable for seeing and hearing movies and even working. We saw it live at the Samsung Smart Arena in Milan and it impressed us, especially the price. The main features of the Samsung Odyssey Ark
The Samsung Odyssey Ark at the Smart Arena in Milan From Technologically speaking, the Samsung Odyssey Ark is pretty impressive. We are talking about a 55-inch monitor with a 1000R curvature (Samsung claims it is the maximum achieved so far with this size) which, thanks to a comfortable stand, can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. Its gaming nature is certified by the response time of 1ms (GtG) with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, by the presence of 4 HDMI ports and the Gaming Hub, or that application which allows you to natively connect to Game Pass, GeForce Now and Stadia directly from the TV, without the need to switch between PC and console. It has 4 speakers and 2 woofers, moreover, guarantees a good sound system, compatible with Dolby Atmos. The panel is a VA Quantum Mini LED4K, compatible with HDR10 + and static contrast of one million units. function ready (fn) {if (document.readyState! = 'loading') {fn ()} else {document.addEventListener ('DOMContentLoaded', fn)}} ready (function () {window.addEventListener ('message', function (event) {let target_origin = 'https://aff.netaddiction.it'; if (event.origin! == target_origin) return; if (typeof event.data == "object" && event.data.hasOwnProperty ( "type") && event.data.type == "embaff") {let embed_id = event.data.embed_id; if (embed_id == '1317') {document.querySelector ('#_ aff_embed_1317'). setAttribute ('height ', event.data.embed_size);}}}, false);}) Thanks to Multiview, it is also possible to configure the space as desired with up to 4 different inputs. The idea is to meet the needs of content creators, but also professionals who use more and more screens for their productivity, with a central part for the main activity and the lateral ones for media, browser or control the Twitch chat, for example.
Last, but not least, the Ark Dial, a solar-powered remote control thanks to which you can control all the functions of the Samsung Odyssey Ark such as the main source, the Multiview or the resizing of the image.

Hot impressions
The impressive curvature of the Samsung Odyssey Ark From a technological point of view the Samsung Odyssey Ark looks like an impressive product. The curvature guarantees remarkable immersion, response times and the Gaming Hub could simplify the life of gamers. The flexibility of the interface, as well as the mechanical support, makes the Samsung Odyssey Ark a surprisingly flexible and adaptable monitor for any purpose, from gaming to work. The doubts come from the Quantum LED technology, which guarantees a remarkable image, but with the blacks that still do not seem up to the OLEDs and the list price, almost 3 thousand euros, which make it an absolute niche product.
We are however curious to test such a beast in a less controlled environment than that of the Samsung Smart Arena, so you can touch everything the Samsung Odyssey Ark has to offer.
