Thanks to yesterday’s event, Apple unveiled its latest hardware news related to the iPhone world and beyond.

Let's start immediately with a challenge that many of you will look at with interest, the one between iPhone 13 and iPhone 14, to find out if the new Apple proposal is in able to arouse your interest (and justify the higher outlay than the previous generation!)

iPhone 13 vs iPhone 14, format changes for a design that remains unchanged

The lines remain unchanged between the two generations, with iPhone 14 confirming the general shapes of its predecessor, both as for the materials that the design in general. The big change is Apple's abandonment of the "mini" project, with the more compact variant giving way to a "plus" model.




A return of important nomenclature in the iOS world, a sign of a new market strategy that wants to favor products with a wide "polliciaggio" thus relegating (in a semi-official way) the role of "compact" to the only proposal SE (iPhone 13 mini is still on sale and will continue to be supported by Apple)

The available colors mark the past, with a wide choice of colors also for the new iPhone 14 family. In detail, the new colors are:

Performance and camera, the improvements will not be so obvious

For the first time in the history of the iPhone, a new generation does not bring a change of processor. In fact, to move iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus we find the same chip of the iPhone 13 series (the Apple A15 Bionic chip), with performance therefore on par. The same reasoning could be extended, at least to the reading of the technical data sheet, for the multimedia sector, with two 12MP lenses. However, the changes are present in this area, with a new main lens capable of collecting even more light, as well as support for the new ultra- steady, for optimal results in photos and videos even in contexts of strong movement.

iOS 16 native and one more year of support

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus arrive on the market with the new native iOS 16 release. This is a new software interface equipped with new customization options guaranteed by the hardware-software news of the new smartphones, as well as a new suite of options relating to user safety (crash detection and SOS via satellite on all). iPhone 13 will obviously receive iOS 16 with almost all the news of the newcomer but will obviously be able to count on a year less support, having been on the market for 12 months now.

Prices and availability: iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13

The new generation of iPhone is present in different memory sizes (all not expandable), with the basic variant always equipped with 128GB. With the same amount of memory, the official prices at launch see an extra expense for iPhone 14 in relation to iPhone 13 (in the respective 128GB base variants) of 90 euros. The Plus variant of the iPhone 14 is presented on the market, again in the basic 128GB cut, at a price of 1179 euros (to make a comparison, the basic mini variant of the iPhone mini provided for a price list of 839 euros).
