The fourth generation of Samsung foldables is finally here: during the last Galaxy Unpacked, the Korean brand today presented the new foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 to the public, thus updating its innovative Z series.Therefore, two very different form factors return, which over the years have intercepted specific interests and ways of use. Of the two formats, Z Fold is the one that has opened new avenues for productivity thanks also, starting from the third generation, to compatibility with the S Pen.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 also complies with the IPX8 standard, remaining the only foldable (together with the Z Flip4 and the previous generation of Galaxy Z Series) to be water resistant.
| ); } The new Z Fold4 features a slightly wider aspect ratio when closed, with more than 3mm of space saved in height to make it even more manageable with its 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X external display. The weight also decreases, which goes to just 263 grams.
Samsung does not make any compromises on the size of the internal screen, a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x edge-to-edge folding display with frequency 120Hz adaptive refresh and 1000 nit maximum brightness. Finally, there is also a renewed under the screen camera compared to its predecessor, to ensure a more immersive experience than ever.
With the Galaxy Z Fold4, which comes with Android 12L on board, you can use the applications dedicated to productivity and entertainment. Thanks to Samsung's close partnership with Google and Microsoft, it is now possible to use the folding screen as a support while watching a streaming movie or editing Google Drive documents during a Meet videoconference.
Just like on board the Z Flip4, for all the other apps there is the Flex Mode Touchpad with a suite of advanced commands that allow you to control the device and the contents you are viewing.
Enhance multitasking even more, with an extended application bar, similar to that of a PC, which takes full advantage of the form factor of this device allowing you to launch up to three apps at the same time.
The new Galaxy Z Fold4 is equipped with a camera compartment worthy of a true flagship. The 50MP main sensor features improved OIS and VDIS stabilization over the previous generation as well as Nightography functionality for night shots and is 23% brighter thanks to larger pixels.
An ultra camera completes the picture. -12MP wide angle and a 10MP Space Zoom lens with 3x optical and 10x digital zoom. The front sensors are respectively 10MP on the external screen and 4MP for the camera located under the main display.
The Galaxy Z Fold4 form factor also allows you to use the camera in exclusive modes: place the device in Flex Mode and enjoy hands-free self-portraits, simultaneously view the zoom and the original image on the internal screen with Capture View and revolutionize your selfies with Dual Preview.
On board we find the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which includes improved CPU, GPU and NPU. Tested to support up to 200,000 display flexions, it features an Armor Aluminum body and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus + both on the front and back.
We find once again on board the Galaxy Z Fold4 a large 4400mAh battery, also equipped with 24W fast charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.
S Pen, even more functionality
One of the most popular new features of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 was the compatibility with the S Pen stylus, which guarantees even more versatility in productivity and multitasking.The Galaxy Fold4 doubles this possibility with two compatible S Pen models, both equipped with a retractable tip.
S Pen Fold Edition: compatible only with Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Fold4 S Pen Pro: compatible with other Galaxy devices. Thanks to the S Pen you can easily select text, such as an email or a postal address, from a screen or image: thanks to the intervention of the AI your Z Fold4 will open the dedicated application in a few moments.
There is also an accessory that will allow you to carry the S Pen always with you, for all your on-the-go productivity needs: it is the Standing Cover, a case with integrated pen holder that provides a practical and safe accommodation for your Galaxy Z Fold4 and the S Pen Fold Edition included in the package.
