As remembered by his son, Piero Angela celebrated his 70 years of work in Rai, where he began his career as a radio reporter in the Giornale Radio, before moving on to host the Rai Uno newscast and later on Tg2.Science
From here began his career aimed at scientific dissemination which in the following years led him to conceive numerous information transmissions. Among these we mention Destination Man (ten episodes), From zero to three years (three episodes), Where is the world going? Later, in 1981, he established himself more and more in the sector thanks to the Rai Quark program, which in 1995 became what we know with the title SuperQuark. We also remember that since 2000 Piero Angela and his son were the authors of Ulysses - The pleasure of discovery. Finally, the journalist has edited for years the column "Science and society" on the weekly TV Sorrisi e Canzoni and was the editor and supervisor of the monthly Quark, which he himself founded in 2001 and dissolved in 2006 due to lack of funds.

Famous Italian journalist Piero Angela has died, aged 93, his family has said.
Angela was the producer and presenter of Rai TV programmes such as Quark and Superquark, programmes which dealt with science, geography and history, and which drew millions of viewers over decades.
Born in 1928, Angela had started his career on radio before moving on to TV.
He has also published several books.
