Oda's goals for One Piece's final story arc
On the occasion of the joint interview between Eiichiro Oda, author of One Piece, and Gosho Aoyama, author of Detective Conan, to celebrate the achievement of the 100 volumes of the respective series still, among other things in progress, he unveiled his goal for the 'final story arc.
Speaking of the final saga, I try to remind myself to use a playful approach. Even if One Piece ends up becoming a source of complaints from my fans or maybe some ideas are not interesting, it means that they will have been for me.
The author, continuing, also anticipated which will be the next scenario that fans will have to keep an eye on with particular attention:
Well, for the moment I would say that the events of the past will keep me busy. One day something happened in the world during the hundred years of the great void and that something will soon be revealed. It will be fun and interesting at the same time. What I actually like is when the readers get to have fun, it's really great.

The joint interview was created in collaboration between Shueisha and Shogakukan to celebrate the record of the 100 volumes of the two manga still, among other things, in the process of serialization. The interview is divided into two parts: the first published in the number 34 of Weekly Shonen Jump (July 25), while the second and last in the number 35 Weekly Shonen Sunday (July 27).
The manga is inspiring an animated series made by Toei Animation, which has been running uninterrupted since 1999 with 1027 total episodes to the credit, which is transfixing the events of the narrative arc of the Country of Wano. In Italy the broadcasting rights are owned by Mediaset with 628 dubbed episodes as from 20 October they returned to TV with the unreleased tracks. The series is also legally visible, with subtitles in Italian and with a premium account through the Crunchyroll streaming platform.
