Core i5-13600K and Core i7-13700 QS tested in new benchmarks
We are getting closer and closer to the arrival on the market of the new Intel "Raptor Lake" CPUs, which will constitute the thirteenth generation of Core processors of the Santa Clara company. Yesterday, we reported that Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, confirmed that both desktop and mobile models will be available by the end of the year, changing the approach from that used in previous years. Find more details about it in our previous news.
As usual, a few months after the launch of new CPUs or video cards, some benchmarks or photos featuring some prototypes (typically Engineering Sample) begin to appear on the net , which at least allow us to get a first idea of what we should expect to see on store shelves.
Recently, a user of the bilibili Chinese forum posted a video showing the Intel Core i5-13600K and Core processors i7-13700K grappling with popular 3DMark Fire Strike and Time Spy benchmarks, as well as ten different video games. In both cases, the CPUs were coupled to a very powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card, in addition to the fact that it was QS (Qualification Sample), therefore variants with technical characteristics very close to those of the models that will arrive later on the market. Video card and processors were installed on an ASRock Z690 Steel Legends WiFi 6E motherboard (in dual version, with 32GB of DDR4-3600 and 32GB of DDR5-6400).

Obviously, these tests were conducted on non-final firmware and hardware, so they should be taken with the pliers. In any case, the generational leap should not be very striking, especially if we remain anchored to DDR4 memories. For the moment, we just have to wait patiently a few more weeks to find out more.
