Which Dungeons and Dragons adventures to play while waiting for Dungeons and Dragons: Honor of the Thieves? In this article we recommend 5 modules and adventures of Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition in which to find some of the themes, places, characters and atmospheres that we will find in the film with Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant. In putting together this selection we have based on the elements of the film that emerged from the trailer and the synopsis: these proposals will not let you play the original plot of the film, but each of these will present one or more elements that we think can be found even in a minimal part or in the form of easter eggs, in Dungeons & Dragons: The Honor of the Thieves.
To narrow down the field of our selection we have decided to take into consideration only the Fifth Edition material, more easily available on the market and aligned with the current game system. Here are our suggestions.

5 adventures to play while waiting for Dungeons and Dragons - Honor of the Thieves: Tales from the Yawning Portal - Dead in Thay
Tales from the Yawning Portal contains seven famous adventures from previous editions of Dungeons & Dragons, adapted for Fifth Edition. These are iconic adventures from over 40 years of D&D, capable of thrilling old players and conquering new ones. In particular, within this anthology you will find the adventure "Dead in Thay" (death in Thay): in Dead in Thay the players will have to contend with Szass Tam, the lich lich of Thay, and his Red Wizards, who threaten to dominate the entire Sword Coast.
Because it's an adventure to play: there's a good chance that the main villain of Honor of the Thieves might just be Szass Tam himself, plus try to stopping the plans of the Red Wizards is always a good idea. In addition to these valid reasons Dead in Thay represents a very particular experiment in terms of adventure, it is in fact a module designed for an epic multi-table game session!
Dead in Thay can therefore be played simultaneously by as many as eight game groups, however if you do not have the opportunity to involve all these people, the adventure can be reshaped based on the number of game groups present.

Waterdeep: Theft of the Dragons (Waterdeep: Dragon Heist)
Volothamp Geddarm hires adventurers on a no-holds-barred treasure hunt through the streets (rooftops and dungeons) of Waterdeep. This module features a non-linear structure, as depending on some decisions of the Dungeon Master, players could face some of the iconic villains of the Forgotten Realms lore, including Manshoon, Jarlaxle Baenre and the Xanathar. Despite the caliber of the NPCs involved, Waterdeep: Theft of the Dragons positions itself as an adventure for level 1-5 heroes.
Because it is an adventure to play: the party of the film defines itself as a group of thieves, this module is perfect for all those players who want a game experience that gives priority to the typical dynamics of the shots organized in "The Stangata" style, moreover the presence of iconic non-player characters allows this module a great variety of ideas game.

Rime of the Frostmaiden is a level 1-12 character module that takes place in the Icewind Dale of the Forgotten Realms, a northern region of Faerun characterized by extreme climates. This campaign tells of a dark terror that haunts the Ten-Towns and will take characters to the many mysterious and desolate places that surround these frontier settlements.
Why it's an adventure to play: this module from the atmosphere full of tension does not seem to have much to do with the tone and atmosphere of Dungeons & Dragons: The honor of the Thieves, however a part of the film takes place in the north of Faerun. In addition to the presence of one of the places of the film, in Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden it is possible to come across the prison of Revel's End, place of the escape of the bard and the barbarian, included in the manual (and in the canon of the lore of D&D) in preview of its appearance in the film.
