Max is one of the four victims designated by Vecna ​​for the purpose of triggering the apocalypse, turning Hawkins into a hellish landscape invaded by the Upside down in sight of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. Unlike Max, who was considered clinically dead for a minute before being revived by Eleven, the other people killed by Vecna ​​are no longer alive and therefore will not return in the final season.
