A tsunami of news and announcements hit Dungeons & Dragons fans during the highly anticipated D&D Direct event. The show, which in its just 30 years, unveiled future releases of the world's most popular RPG saw the announcement of new manuals, video games, Dungeons & Dragons movie news, miniature games and new accessories. >Among all the upcoming novelties, the ones that undoubtedly generated the most enthusiasm were two long-awaited settings by fans: Spelljammer and Dragonlance!
Obviously these two beloved settings weren't the only ones news of the presentation, in fact during D&D Direct interesting news also emerged with regard to the Italian localizations of the manuals of Dungeons & Dragons. So let's see what's cooking in the future of Dungeons & Dragons.
Spelljammer: Adventures in Space
Spelljammer: Adventures in Space will be a massive edition that will update this setting for Fifth Edition introducing Wildspace and with options for the DM and players.
Spelljammer: Adventures in Space will be a box set that will contain three 64-page hardcover manuals, a double-sided poster map designed by Marco Bernardini and a Master's Screen. The box set will be composed as follows:
The Astral Adventurer's Guide: a campaign setting that offers characters adventures focused on space, with spells and magical items, floor plans and descriptions of Spelljammer ships. Boo's Astral Menagerie: Over 60 creatures found in the Wildspace and Astral Sea, including astral elves, cosmic horrors, lunar and solar dragons, killer comets and space clowns. Light of Xaryxis: A Dungeon Master adventure set in the Astral Plane and designed for level 5-8 characters.
Dragonlance
Anticipated by several clues in the course of the last months, Dragonlance will finally return to D&D by the end of 2022. A short animated teaser trailer was shown during Direct to illustrate the mood and tone of this new Fifth Edition supplement. Dragonlance will see players immersed in a scenario of epic large-scale battles like never before in the history of this RPG. Journeys Through The Radiant Citadel
During the Direct, new details were released on the upcoming manual Journeys Through The Radiant Citadel. It is an anthological collection of thirteen new adventures set in the Radiant Citadel, a citadel located in the ethereal plane. Each of the adventures presented in this manual will be permeated by atmospheres inspired by different cultures in order to offer a completely new experience for Dungeons & Dragons. Journeys Through The Radiant Citadel will be available starting June 21, 2022.

The new Starter Set
The new Starter Set - Dragons of Stormwreck Isle (Starter Set - Dragons of Storm Island). Dragons of Stormwreck Isle will feature the introductory adventure of the same name, designed to further enhance the gaming experience for newbies. The new Starter Set will also be accompanied by a series of digital support tools to further support the experience of anyone approaching the game for the first time both as a player and as a DM. News on Italian localizations
New information on Italian localizations has been released , French, German and Spanish. 6 new manuals are coming, translated starting from June 2022. The new localized releases will feature Tasha's All-encompassing Cauldron, Mordenkainen presents: Monsters of the Multiverse, Strahd's Curse, Starter Set - Dragons of the Isle of Storms, Xanathar's All-encompassing Guide and Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft.The following is the calendar of releases:
Xanathar All-Inclusive Guide: available in Italian and Spanish on 7 June 2022 Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft: available throughout Europe on 21 June 2022 Tasha's All-Inclusive Cauldron: available from 12 July 2022 Mordenkainen presents: Monsters of the Multiverse: available from 13 September 2022 Starter Set - Dragons of the Isle of Storms: available from 4 October 2022 The Curse of Strahd: available from 25 October 2022
Accessories for Dungeons & Dragons
Two sets of accessories for the game have been announced, they are Campaign Case: Creatures and Campaign Case: Terrain, two briefcases that inside them will contain fully customizable tokens and playgrounds.Campaign Case: Creatures: This Campaign Case will contain a large set of creature tokens that are fully customizable thanks to repositionable stickers. The token set will consist of 64 plastic discs in three dimensions, five sheets of fully illustrated creature stickers, and a durable carrying case.
Campaign Case: Terrain: This Campaign Case will contain everything you need to build encounters and adventures in dungeons and cities. The set will include double-sided adventure tiles and a collection of repositionable illustrated adventure stickers to customize maps. Campaign Case: Terrain will consist of more than 30 double-sided dungeon tiles, five reusable Adventure Clings sheets, double-sided Adventure Grid, and a durable carrying case.
All other ads
Numerous updates have also been released on all other topics related to Dungeons & Dragons, starting with Baldur's Gate 3.The Larian Studios game has been graphically enhanced with major graphics and gameplay updates and will see the official launch in the course of 2023. Always remaining in the videogame field, Neverwinter - Dragonslayer has been announced, a new update inspired by Fizban's Treasury of Dragons for the free MMORPG of Dungeons & Dragons.
The miniature game D&D Onslaught, a game from strategy table produced by WizKids. In Onslaught, players will take control of two competing factions in search of treasure.
The Dungeons & Dragons film also made a brief appearance during D&D Direct, with the official reveal of the title of the film from part of the two directors and the release date in theaters:
the D&D film will be called Dungeons & Dragons - Honor Among Thieves (Dungeons & Dragons - Honor Among Thieves) and will be released on March 3, 2023.
Legends of the Multiverse has also been announced, a new series of actual play, which can be followed online on the official Twitch and Toutube channels of Dungeons & Dragons.
Legends of the Multiverse will see a cast of gaming community personalities and will consist of Deborah Ann Woll, B. Dave Walters, Gina Darling, Meagan Kenreck and Todd Kenreck, all of whom will be joined by other guest stars throughout their adventure.
