Genshin Impact: The Best Ganyu Build, Artifacts And Bows (2.4 Edition)

Genshin Impact is putting Ganyu back into the game with a new double banner alongside Zhongli, and she has long been considered one of the best characters in all of Genshin. Her ranged cryo DPS is unlike any other archer out there, and her AOE capabilities are out of this world.

As such, you may be considering spending all your saved up primogems for a chance at snagging Ganyu this time around during the re-run. If you do manage to land her, you’re going to want to build her out properly. So, here’s how you’re going to do that, and some things have changed since her last run, given that we’re now in patch 2.4:

Wanderer’s Troupe (Boss Drop) – 2 piece - Increases Elemental Mastery by 80. 4 piece -  Increases Charged Attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or a Bow.

Blizzard Strayer (Peak of Vindagnyr Domain) -  2 piece - Cryo DMG Bonus +15%, 4 piece - When a character attacks an enemy affected by Cryo, their CRIT Rate is increased by 20%. If the enemy is Frozen, CRIT Rate is increased by an additional 20%.

Noblesse Oblige (Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern) – 2 piece - Elemental Burst DMG +20%, 4 piece - Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

There are not that many archers in the game to begin with, and even less that heavily benefit from increased charged attack damage as much as Ganyu. Without question, I would go for the Wanderer’s Set for her to start with, but there are other options if you want.

Best Ganyu Bows

Amos' Bow

Amos’ Bow (5 star) - Increases Normal Attack and Aimed Shot DMG by 18%. Increases DMG by 12% for every 0.1s that an arrow is in flight. Stacks up to 5 times on each arrow.

Thundering Pulse (5 star) - Increases ATK by 20% and grants Thunder Emblem. At stacks 1/2/3, Normal Attack DMG is further increased by 12/24/40%. Each stack has an individual duration and are gotten through: Normal Attacks with Elemental DMG (duration 5s) Casting an Elemental Skill (duration 10s) Having less than 100% Energy (disappears at full Energy)

Prototype Crescent (4 star) - Aimed Shot hits on weak points increase Movement SPD by 10% and ATK by 36% for 10s.

The best budget bow is going to be the craftable Crescent, but Amos’ bow with its bonuses to long range damage is definitely the best, and it’s available in the weapon banner alongside Ganyu today. But you may have to burn a lot of wishes to get it.
