Acer presents Predator Orion 5000 and Predator Orion 3000
The new Acer gaming desktops were also presented at CES 2022, namely Acer Predator Orion 5000 and Predator Orion 3000, powerful fixed computers especially designed for higher performance in the gaming field.Predator Orion 5000 CPUs up to a 12th generation Intel Core i7 (with Intel H670 chipset), which can be equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPUs to offer cutting-edge solutions. With Windows 11 integrated, it is equipped with 64GB of DDR5 4,000MHz DDR5 RAM and has up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe 4.05 SSD memory.
On the cooling and design front, count on ARGB fans -infused Predator FrostBlade 2.0 which uses static pressure to optimize airflow, while sealed bearings and curved shape of the fan blades reduce noise and vibration.
Featuring a distinctive black chassis obsidian, made of tinted glass and metal mesh, the ARGB hardware and fans are visible from the transparent side panels which, thanks to EMI compliance, protect the user and peripherals from potential electromagnetic interference.
Acer Predator Orion 5000 It is still possible to disassemble the body without tools to easily access the internal components, for example by introducing a different liquid cooling system up to 240 mm, in addition to the flexibility of configuration and updating.
Features that help reduce latency include the E3100G 2.5G Ethernet Controller Killer and Intel Wi-Fi 6E4 for more reliable internet connections; DTS: X Ultra allows gamers to transform any type of headphones or speaker into a sophisticated 360-degree sound system. Four USB ports (3x Type-A and 1x Type-C) and audio jacks located on the top of the chassis allow for easy access, while numerous other ports on the rear of the tower help to hide the cables that are handled less frequently from view.

Acer's New Orion Desktops May Be Your Answer To A Gaming PC
This week Acer has had a lot of new gaming products to showcase in its Predator line, including new desktops like the Predator Orion 5000. This is one of two new desktop gaming PCs that Acer has in its 2022 lineup. And both seem to be packed to the gills with components that anyone would be proud to have for their own personal rig.
In addition to the Predator Orion 5000, Acer is also announcing the Predator Orion 3000. The former being a full-sized desktop and the latter being the mid-tower option. Both would be great for a powerful desktop in the home. But there are notable differences. A full-size tower has more room and allows for bigger and more components. But it also takes up more space.
A mid-size tower however is not necessarily any less capable. And may be more your speed if you want something that uses less room wherever you have it situated. With that said, here’s what Acer is offering with these two new pre-built desktops.
What appears to be one of the biggest differences between these two desktops is the GPU. The Orion 500 will come with an NVIDIA RTX 3080. So if you want the most powerful card this is the model of desktop to go for.
Additionally, the Orion 5000 is using Intel’s latest 12th gen Core i7 CPU built on an H670 chipset. It also comes with Windows 11, 64GB of 4,000 MHz DDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
One thing that shouldn’t go unnoticed is the toolless design of the tower’s chassis. This allows gamers to easily get into the PC and at the components for upgrades. Making the process much quicker for swapping out parts if needed or desired.
When it comes to the Orion 3000 mid-tower PC, it’s also using an Intel 12th Gen Core i7 but it’s built on a B660 chipset. It also dumps the GPU down from an RTX 3080 to an RTX 3070. Still a capable GPU, but obviously less expensive and it offers less power.
It still has up to 64GB of RAM, though with slower speeds, and up to 2TB of SSD storage. Acer also added 6TB of SATA3 HDD storage, and kept the same general design of the chassis using the same materials. Which includes darkened glass, plastic, and metal mesh.
