The arrival of the Steam page had made players suspicious, as well as the rating of the ESRB and in the end here we are. Uncharted 4 for PS5 has finally gotten a release date. The announcement was released by the PlayStation Blog, along with a trailer that kicks off the pre-orders of this new version and reveals some of the technical details that Iron Galaxy and Naughty Dog have worked on.Uncharted 4 will arrive on PS5 on January 28, 2022 at a cost of 50.99 euros in physical and digital format (the PS4 version will be upgradeable for 10 euros), in a rich edition with the expansion The Lost Legacy. The title will be bootable in two distinct modes: Fidelity, which will guarantee the output of images in 4K with a frame rate of 30fps and the Performance mode, which will instead guarantee a frame rate of 60fps, even if the resolution has not been specified. Also present is the Performance + choice, which allows players with a 120hz monitor to play this special bundle with a 1920x1080p resolution but at 120fps.
Other technical features of Uncharted 4 for PS5 are certainly the uploads, much more faster than the original version, the 3D audio and the implementation of haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers of the DualSense. "We have improved the tactile experience of impact and resistance: it has never been so good to feel the engine of your 4 × 4 in your hands or throw a punch and then grab a rope and save yourself with a flight", it reads in the PlayStation Blog.
And what about the PC version? Unfortunately Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet announced the release date of Uncharted 4 for Steam and Epic Games. "We will communicate many other news on the PC version in the course of 2022", concludes the press release launched today. So we just have to wait for more information on this, which we will report to you as soon as they are available.

Uncharted 4 was a smash-hit for Naughty Dog, selling over 2.7 million units within the first seven days of its release and grossing $56 million in digital sales within the first three weeks. Plays have been eagerly waiting for the chance to jump back into Nathan Drake’s shoes, but with current-gen consoles here and PCs getting more powerful by the day, it’s time for an upgrade. Luckily, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves (containing both Uncharted 4 and expansion The Lost Legacy) has just been rated by the Australian Classification Board for PC and PlayStation 5. What does that mean? Well, it likely means that a release date is on the horizon. Looking back on previous gaps between rating and release date announcements, the title could be here as soon as February 2022.
While no specific details are known about the PC port of Uncharted 4, Days Gone introduced a number of new features when it made the PC leap, including ultra-wide monitor support, improved graphics, and an unlocked framerate. Lately, PlayStation has been making a huge commitment to bring many of its beloved properties to PC, likely spurred on by the incredible response to the highly-anticipated Horizon Zero Dawn port.
Upon release, Uncharted 4 was met with rave reviews complimenting the title’s gameplay, emotional depth, narrative, visuals, and multiplayer capabilities. The game was nominated for eight awards at the Game Awards 2016 and won Best Narrative and Best Performance for Nolan North. It is the highest-selling Uncharted game to date.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves will be coming to PlayStation 5 and PC in the future, though an exact release date isn’t known. It is expected in early 2022. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was originally released in 2016 for PlayStation 4. The standalone Lost Legacy expansion was released in 2017. Uncharted, a film based on the game series starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, is scheduled to release in theaters on February 18, 2022.
