TIM One Number: the service for smartwatches that are always connected

TIM launches the new One Number service, intended for smartwatches and other devices equipped with a virtual SIM. Thanks to One Number it will in fact be possible to duplicate your telephone number connected to the TIM mobile line and use it on multiple devices, taking advantage of the same offers active on the main SIM. The traffic consumed on the virtual SIM will be charged directly to the associated smartphone line, following the same active offers and promotions.

TIM One Number has been designed with a view to greater freedom and mobility even outside the home: thanks to in fact, this solution will make it possible to always be connected even during leisure time and sporting activity.

TIM users will in fact be able to leave their smartphone at home and continue to receive and make calls using, for example, the smartwatch . It will also be possible, compatibly with the offer active on the line, to continue browsing the Internet and receive messages and notifications relating to the applications installed.

The new TIM One Number offer does not include activation costs; Instead, there is a monthly fee of 4.99 euros in addition to the offers already active on the reference smartphone. On the occasion of the launch, until January 31, 2022, TIM offers three months of free promotion.

The technical requirements for activating the virtual SIM and the One Number promotion include:

Smartphone Android 6.0+ with RAM greater than 1,5GB Smartphone iOS 15.2+ Device compatible with eSIM service (eg smartwatch with LTE connectivity)

It will also be necessary to associate the device equipped with eSIM to the main line : the pairing procedure, illustrated in full on the TIM website, requires, after the activation of the One Number offer, the download of the Watch app and configuration in a few simple steps.

For the occasion, TIM will propose over the next few weeks a series of offers for its customers on some smartwatches compatible with the eSIM, drawing from the list the top models with the Wear OS and WatchOS operating systems, as well as Android and iOS smartphones.

TIM launches 'One Number' eSIM service

Telecom Italia (TIM) announced the launch of its new 'TIM One Number' service enabling customers to share their number and contracted tariff among multiple devices including smartwatches. TIM One Number costs EUR 4.99 a month, with the first 3 months and activation offered free under a launch promo that expires on 31 January 2022.
