The second season of the anime will be previewed on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV and BS11 on January 14th at 00:00 JST (effectively January 15th).Here is the key visual:
The cast sees the return of Natsuki Hanae as Vanitas, the owner of the Book of Vanitas, a human and self-described doctor for vampires, Kaito Ishikawa as Noé Archiviste, a vampire who is ordered to discern the power of the Book of Vanitas by his teacher.
The new cast members are Rie Kugimiya in the role of Chloe and Daiki Hamano as Jean-Jacques:
Tomoyuki Itamura (Nisemonogatari, Owarimonogatari, Tsukimonogatari) returns to direct the anime at BONES and Deko Akao (Noragami, Snow White with the Red Hair) returns to oversee the scripts of the series. Yoshiyuki Ito (Concrete Revolutio, Carole & Tuesday) is the character designer and animation director again.

The Case Study of Vanitas manga is written and illustrated by Jun Mochizuki and has been serialized since December 2015 in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine.
