Horizon Zero Dawn is now played in VR, let's discover the incredible gameplay video
Horizon Zero Dawn is now played in VR
Mods have always offered big changes to how a title is played. The last case is the VR mode, or virtual reality, of Horizon Zero Dawn. The Sony home game debuted on PC some time ago, after the excellent results obtained on the PlayStation 4 and obviously has attracted around it the ever-large community of modders, who this time have made a real miracle able to give a new life to the game.If virtual reality struggles to get started, especially due to the lack of support from publishers and developers, modders have been able to fill, at least in part, this void. One of the landmarks of this community is definitely LukeRoss, who has already converted games like GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mafia 3 and who has now got his hands on Horizon Zero Dawn. The result? The game is obviously entirely playable using a virtual reality viewer, as demonstrated by the gameplay video that you find a little further down.
Although it is an amazing result, it is worth noting two things. This is an unofficial mod and therefore installation can cause crashes or other errors, but we are used to this. The second is that it is certainly a well-done job, but it cannot (inevitably) replace the classic pad for PC, DualSense or Xbox controller. In practice, the mod allows you to run Horizon Zero Dawn Horizon Zero Dawn on your viewer, but it is clearly a mod dedicated to the camera, which transforms the work of Guerrilla Games into an FPS instead of TPS.
Despite the various technical limitations of modders, these mods certainly represent an important exercise in style. And who knows if one day, over the next few years, Guerrilla Games decides to work on a fully built version for VR natively of the game. On the other hand, hoping costs nothing, don't you think?
