Dark Horse was acquired by Embracer Group
Comic book publisher Dark Horse Comics was recently acquired by the Swedish gaming company Embracer Group. Recently, the Embracer Group has also acquired Asmodee.

Embracer Group AB (“Embracer”) entered into negotiations today to acquire Dark Horse Media, LLC (“Dark Horse”), a leading entertainment company in the industry. After the deal is closed, Dark Horse will become the 10th operating group of the Embracer Group. With the acquisition, Embracer will strengthen its ability to be trans-media, increasing its experience in content development, comic book publishing, and film and TV show production. Dark Horse owns or controls more than 300 intellectual properties, many of which will be affected for future adaptations, including the development of new video games.
