The 2022 edition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is already in the planning stage. The event took place this year during the month of October due to the pandemic that prevented the smooth running of the event. From next year, however, the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este will take place again in spring.

The new edition, organized by the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este and BMW Group Classic, is scheduled between 20 and May 22, 2022. Compared to the previous editions of the event, for 2022 there will be shorter times for the organization. Applications are therefore already open and it is possible to register your vehicle via the official website. In total, the selection of 50 models that will become part of the Competition is foreseen.

Ferrari SP38 presented in the 2018 edition The event will include different competition categories. Among these there will be "The Carriage Turns into a Car: Great Elegance, 1900-1929" dedicated to the dawn of the car world. Another category will be "Speed ​​shapes Shape, 1930-1940" dedicated to the evolution of aerodynamics at the turn of a key decade for the world of four wheels. Also planned the category “Beyond the Barrier of Speed! The first machines to break the threshold of 300 km / h "

The 2022 edition of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will be characterized by various celebrations. In fact, next year the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este will reach its 150th season. To celebrate the event, an exhibition of the cars that have won the Villa d’Este Gold Cup or the Best of Show starting from the 1929 edition is scheduled.

It should also be noted that 2022 will also be the year of Ferrari's 75th birthday. For the occasion, an exhibition of eight Maranello models will be organized that will take part in a dedicated category of the competition "The Prancing Horse is 75 Years: to the eight Decades of Ferrari represented by eight Icons". In the course of 2022 also falls the 50th birthday of BMW Motorsport GmbH, the iconic sports division of the Bavarian house. For the occasion, the "Mechanical Excellence: 50 Years of BMW M" category will be set up, dedicated to BMW M models. The appointment with the new edition of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is therefore set for 20-22 May 2022.
