During this week we celebrated the seventeenth anniversary of Metal Gear Solid 3. Hideo Kojima's game is perhaps considered to be one of his best titles and the game designer, as he usually does, celebrated this particular anniversary via Twitter, showing an in-game item that was replicated in real life in the period between development and the launch of the game on the market.As you could understand from the title of the news, we are referring to the crocodile headdress of Metal Gear Solid 3. The object in question was actually replicated by Konami. While the other specimens are probably lost, Hideo Kojima was able to photograph this object kept by Konami, probably kept under lock and key considering the condition of the object. The photo was obviously released via Twitter, the only social network where the game designer is practically active 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“I made some alligator hats for Metal Gear Solid 3, both for promotional videos and for events but this is the only one that still exists today. It is in the Konami archives ”, the words accompanying the tweet launched over the last few days on the popular social network. Certainly Kojima is very fond of this item, as well as any other he has made for all his games.

Closed the chapter Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima became independent after the separation from Konami. In 2015 he launched Kojima Productions and in 2019 he debuted with his first work as a developer no longer linked to the Japanese publisher, namely Death Stranding. At the moment the team is working on another project, which is still kept secret. However, there are rumors that it could be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem, rather than a cross-platform title. Rumors of course, which for now have not yet been confirmed.
