Xbox: Compulsion expands and confirms work on a third-person game

Compulsion Games, studio author of We Happy Few and part of Microsoft's Xbox Games Studios, has confirmed that it is working on a third-person title and that the development team has practically doubled since the last project.Earlier this week the well-known insider Klobrille, usually reliable insider and close to the Xbox world, had stated that the studio is currently working on a third-person action title with dark fantasy atmospheres.
As VGC reports, the indiscretion, in fact, had already been partially confirmed by Naila Hadjas of Compulsion Games in an interview with Xbox Squad, where we also learn that the studio has practically doubled its staff and that it will continue to make titles outside the box.
"We have doubled the workforce and are adapting to this change. The goal is to expand our bizarre universe, to continue making its mark in video games as a studio to which p like to create unique titles, in little used settings. For now this is our goal. Pursue our "legacy" by staying true to ourselves. "
Hadjas states that the new Compulsion Games project started a few months after the launch of We Happy Few and that it is a third-person game with strong narrative elements, thus partially confirming the information Klobrille suggested a few days ago.
"With our new game, a third person game focused on story and narrative, I don't think we'll need feedback. It's not like a rogue-like where you have to replay the same sequences over and over and you need data to make sure the experience is fun. We Happy Few has evolved a lot, at first it was a rogue-like and then we added a story because people loved the world, the characters, so we were like "ok, we're going to make a game with an ending and a story".
When asked when the new Compulsion Games title will be presented, Nadjas laughed "I have no idea". Since development has apparently started about three years ago, we are confident that we won't have to wait long before an official reveal.
