Elden Ring, a gameplay clip has emerged online

Waiting for the official reveal from FromSoftware, a short Elden Ring gameplay emerged in the Italian night. The highly anticipated title produced by Hidetaka Myazaki together with George R.R. Martin, writer of the books that gave life to the Game of Thrones TV series, showed himself thanks to a leak of the Xbox One version. The video was uploaded to YouTube and to the Streamble platform, where it is still accessible today.

For those who are afraid of running into various spoilers, you can rest assured: the Elden Ring leak is in fact about 28 seconds purely harmless, which allow us to observe a small portion of the map in action and the movements of the character. No dialogue therefore, but the clip is still very useful to try to imagine what the entire game environment will be like, as well as the freedom granted on an exploratory level.

In the movie, the main character of Elden Ring (who will be completely buildable from scratch by players) is intent on exploring what appears to be a decidedly vast location, but still completely destroyed and not very friendly looking. A castle stands in front of him, which seems to be the main target, while behind him there is a rock formation, where a couple of hawks are the only trace of life. We find the immense and gold-colored tree, which recalls the Spiral Tree of Berserk, together with a vegetation that on one side is alive and thriving, while the one arranged in a puddle seems completely dead.

As happens in the most famous open world RPG games, also in this case the position indicator is present in the top center of the screen. The Elden Ring character can also jump, a feature absent from the Dark Souls series. It is interesting to note that there is no HUD on the screen, but most likely all the various icons have been disabled by those who have to take care of the test or by FromSoftware itself for this build. On a technical level there is a slightly dancing frame rate, but we must always remember that everything is taken from a test version for Xbox One, so there will still be time to stabilize and refine everything.

Elden Ring will debut on January 21, 2022, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and of course PC (via Steam).

Amazon offers you Elden Ring pre-order for Xbox, PS4 and PS5 consoles.
