New info on Overwatch 2: Reworks from Sombra and Bastion
New info on Overwatch 2
Despite the current situation, Activision Blizzard is of course very busy with video game development. With the recently released Diablo 2 Resurrected, the focus was on reviving a classic, while the successful first-person shooter is to be continued with Overwatch 2. Blizzard now has new information for fans on the latter. It was only recently announced that some details about the reworks of Sombra and Bastion would be shared as part of the Overwatch League Grand Finals. To this end, the company has now released two short videos that introduce the changes to the two heroes in detail. An invisible danger: The rework of Sombra
Sombra is likely to be a double-edged sword for many players be. Anyone who has the invisible hacker in their own team rejoices over the bad-tempered opponents. Those who play against them and have to keep an eye on their backs so as not to be taken care of from behind are more likely to detest them.Recommended editorial content At this point you will find external content from [PLATFORM]. Despite the rework, not much should change in this way of playing in Overwatch 2. The good one can still block the skills of other players with its hacking ability. But while the cooldown of the hacking has been significantly reduced, the blocking effect is also significantly shorter. In return, Sombra now causes bonus damage to the heroes she disabled.
Your ultimate will still hack all enemies hit but will no longer remove shields and instead inflict 40% of max health. In addition, Sombra is no longer invisible when she uses her hacking skill. It can be seen briefly during the hacking, but immediately becomes invisible again.
A peaceful killer robot: The Bastion rework
In contrast to Sombras, fine, but rather small adjustments , the bird-loving robot Bastion can look forward to a complete renovation. Visual changes include a newer look and a stylish hat to give it more character.Recommended editorial content Here you will find external content from [PLATFORM]. But of course Bastion can also look forward to playful changes. The peaceful robo-hero loses his ability to repair himself and thus regenerate life. Instead, he can now shoot a bullet that ricochets off walls and clings to opposing heroes. After a short delay, the projectile explodes, causing area damage and knocking back enemies.
In addition, the normal shots have been adjusted so that they are now less scattered but are fired at a lower rate of fire. Bastion's ultimate has also been completely redesigned. Instead of a tank mode, it now puts him in an artillery mode, in which he can call three artillery strikes at any point on the whole map.
Because he was robbed of a lot of mobility in the Ultimate, he gets this now donated in his gun mode. If it was firmly anchored in one place before, it can move as a gun in Overwatch 2 at will. In its mobile form, however, it travels a little slower and, unlike before, the ability has been given a cooldown to balance the whole thing.
