But GPU and HPC businesses weren't enough for Huang, so the company he co-founded has engaged in a much larger effort called artificial intelligence, a technology that can be used for anything from facial recognition software to self-driving vehicles. NVIDIA cards optimized for AI applications (such as the V100 and A100) can process huge amounts of data faster than CPUs (at least when CPUs are not running specially optimized code), which to a large extent helps to advance the CPU. entire industry.
