As reported in our previous articles, the episode 20 of August 2021 the Season 5 of My Hero Academia, inspired by the manga of the same name written and drawn by Kohei Horikoshi and published by Star Comics, will launch the adaptation of the narrative arc of My Villain Academia .

The narrative arc, which adapts the 25th original volume of the manga, focuses precisely on the prominent villains of the work, leaving for a moment the heroes of the Yuhei High School.

To celebrate the upcoming debut of the long-awaited story arc with episode 20 (108 considering the previous seasons) on Saturday 21 August, the official website of the anime has revealed a key visual with the villains of the led criminal organization by Tomura Shigaraki. We can watch it below:



The anime's website has also released a brief description of the narrative arc which reads as follows:

“Starting from Episode 20, to be released on August 21, will begin a new chapter for Season 5 of My Hero Academia: the narrative arc 'My Villain Academia'! Deku and the other heroes will be left a little aside momentarily to ensure that the protagonists are Shigaraki and the other members of The Union of Villains ".

My Hero Academia Season 5

My Hero Academia 5 began on March 27, 2021 and to date has 19 episodes of 25 aired. The series has adapted for the moment the narrative arc of the joint training between Class 1-A and Class 1-B and the Izuku, Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki internship at the Endeavor agency.

In Italy, it is visible simultaneously with Japan through Crunchyroll's on-demand streaming platform.

My Hero Academia, the manga and the anime

My Hero Academia is made up of four seasons all available in free streaming on the VVVVID platform. The first four seasons and the OAVs were broadcast unencrypted by Mediaset networks, obviously dubbed in Italian, between 2018 and 2021. You can recover the series on home video thanks to Dynit which created 3 blu-ray boxes for the first two seasons , also with Italian audio, My Hero Academia Season 1, My Hero Academia Season 2 - Box 1 and My Hero Academia Season 2 - Box 2.



Season 5 is currently being simulcasted on Crunchyroll. Three films are also linked to the anime series: Two Heroes, HEROES RISING and World Heroes' Mission (the first two also released for Dynit).

The anime is based on the manga of the same name written and drawn by Kohei Horikoshi, which is still being published. The manga is published in Italy by Edizioni Star Comics which has published 28 volumes so far (don't miss it here on Amazon).

    The official preview trailer of 'My Hero Academia' Season 5, Episode 20 (Episode 108) reveals the events from the past. Gigantomachia, who is the former bodyguard of All For One, appears before the League of Villains to find out if Tomura Shigaraki was a worthy successor.


    Just like the heroes are working on their powers, Shigaraki and the other villains are also training in their own Villain Academia.


    The official Twitter handle of the anime has released a new visual to commemorate the beginning of the My Villain Academia arc.


    Twitter user Atsushi has shared the synopsis of 'My Hero Academia' Season 5, Episode 20 (Episode 108). It suggests an unknown person will contact Shigaraki and several other villains. This individual is likely Gigantomachia.


    'A certain individual contacts Shigaraki and the League of Villains. What is his true identity??' read the synopsis.


    In the last episode, Present Mic and Shota Aizawa were asked to meet a villain named Kurogiri in Tartarus, a high-security prison.


    Present Mic and Aizawa met with Gran Torino at the prison and asked him about Nomu and Kurogiri.


    They found out Kurogiri was a Nomu, a bio-engineered creature made from the corpse of a being. He was made using the corpse of Oboro Shirakumo. Kurogiri's primary objective was to protect and serve Shigaraki under All For One's command.


    Shirakumo was Present Mic and Aizawa's classmate at U.A. and they were inseparable. One of the flashback scenes showed Shirakumo expressing his desire to start a hero agency after completing their studies at U.A.


    In the episode, Present Mic and Aizawa tried to reawaken Shirakumo and get him out of the Nomu's body.
