New types of competitions and virtual experiments with upcoming titles coming: Unite, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl. Updates also on Pokémon Go
(Photo: The Pokémon Company) The operations director of The Pokémon Company, Takato Utsonomiya, attended the awaited Pokémon Presents streaming event last night, August 18, which unveiled a rich series of news on video games coming out between now and next winter, showing new details and dynamics of the titles that will debut on the Switch hybrid console. The announcements also covered the games already released, ready to welcome important updates.The software house Game Freak, which created the monsters in 1996, showed the new functioning of the battles in the title Pokémon Legends: Arceus awaited out January 28, 2022. Compared to previous games, players will now be able to choose from various options before the fight, for example by focusing on agility or power of team members and benefiting from individual specific stats. The turn-based mechanics will be maintained as well as the possibility of multiple hits to the opponent, if certain conditions are met. The game is set in the Hisui region and starts from the Jubilant Village. Four new Pokémon shown such as Hisui's Growlithe and Braviary, Wyrdeer and Basculegion.
The pair Pokémon Shining Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will debut on November 19, 2021, which looks like a faithful remake of the titles released fifteen years ago, albeit with improved graphics and new goodies such as clothing customization or of the Pokéballs up to the possibility of being able to walk around the virtual world followed by the Pokémon adventure companion. On November 5th, a special version of Nintendo Switch Lite will be released dedicated to the two legendary protagonists of the title, Dialga and Palkia.
After the excellent debut on the Nintendo Switch, the free-to-play game Pokémon Unite is preparing for download also on Android and iPhone. The date has been set for next 22 September. To push early registrations to the game, prizes are promised to members: the Pikachu Unite license for 2.5 million or a festival-style Pikachu for 5 million. The next two Pokémon that will enter the title are Mamoswine and Sylveon.
Finally, updates on the titles already released are on the way. New arrivals also on the evergreen Pokémon Go, which will welcome Skwovet and Falinks from 20 to 31 August 2021 as well as the legendary Zacian in level five raids from 20 to 26 August, followed by the other legendary Zamazenta from 26 August to 1 September. Finally, a new legendary event on Pokémon Masters Ex with "The shield that howls to eternity" until 5:59 am on September 16, 2021 that brings numerous prizes and rewards not to be missed.
