Outriders: New patch released after a slight delay
Outriders
A new patch for the sci-fi shooter Outriders was supposed to be released on July 13th. However, the developers noticed two new crashes with the new update, which is why they had to postpone the release of the patch. In a post in the subreddit on Outriders, People Can Fly stated that some testers were faced with two serious problems. In rare cases Outriders (buy now € 59.99) crashed when starting. However, the title is said to have worked normally again after a certain number of crashes.
The second crash occurred when players returned to the title's lobby after a completed multiplayer session. The developers are currently assuming that the class of the Pyromancer and a combination of specific skills and mods has something to do with it. However, they could not confirm this.
People Can Fly is also not sure whether these crashes are related to the new patch or have been in the game for some time:
"Our recent community Research suggests that these two crashes are already present in the game but have never been diagnosed. If so, the patch would not cause any new problems and would be 'safe'. "

The developers therefore asked the Reddit community to help them with this problem if they had already experienced these crashes:
"The complexity of the game code makes it very difficult to present every possible scenario to players -Consider behavior. "
As can be seen in the comments on the Reddit thread, the community members have done quite a bit of work helping the developers get to the bottom of the cause of the crashes. In the official patch notes, which were published on July 15th, the developers write that they currently assume that the crashes "were already part of the game". However, there is a risk that the patch could cause these crashes to occur more frequently.

The new patch brings numerous improvements and bug fixes as well as a change to the balancing of the healthy lifestyle mod of the Pyromancer. You can find the full patch notes in the developers' Reddit thread.
People Can Fly is also currently seeking feedback from the community about a proposed change to the anti-duplication system for legendary equipment. At the moment, the system takes effect when you receive a legendary item that you have already equipped or have in your inventory. That item is then rerolled to reduce the chances of getting a duplicate. With the new changes, however, the system is supposed to ignore your actual equipment, making it easier to get better versions of your equipment.
