As every month, the column dedicated to the news coming out for the Italian market of canned games is back on time. This July 2021 sees an uninspiring amount of new titles hitting store shelves, with only two or three publishers launching a few new titles on the market. So, let's not delay and let's see what this month of July 2021 has in store for us.

Asmodee Italia

As every month, also in this July 2021 the publishing house Asmodee Italia is confirmed as one of the most prolific publishers of the Italian boxed games market, presenting a large series of novelties, when compared to the remaining competitors.

Destinies

Destinies falls into the category of narrative, competitive, adventure and exploration boxed games. This title merges a digital application and a board game together. The Destinies system offers a complete and deep story focused on narration, offering an experience similar to that of an RPG, without the need for a game master. Each scenario paints a part of an intense world, full of dark stories, epic characters and mysteries to solve. Each player takes on the role of a hero who seeks to fulfill his or her destiny.

Marvel Champions: The Card Game - Venom

For the most acclaimed boxed game product related to the Marvel comic universe, Marvel Champions: The Card Game, this month we see the release of the hero pack dedicated to the iconic Venom. Flash Thompson, a war veteran and old classmate of Peter Parker, merged with the Venom symbiote during Project Rebirth 2.0, the US government's second super soldier program. Now Venom travels the galaxy and uses its unique combination of abilities to crush the forces of evil wherever they lurk. This hero pack contains everything you need to play as Venom, including a pre-built deck.

Pandemic: Red Zone - Europe

This month of July 2021 sees the release of another title linked to the famous brand of boxed games Pandemic. This is Pandemic: Red Zone - Europe. Diseases threaten Europe and only the players will be able to stop them. In Pandemic: Red Zone - Europe, new mutations make the race against time even more frenetic: the pathogens to fight against become stronger and more resistant. Players will have to work together to prevent outbreaks, find cures, and win or lose all together. This product is compatible with other Pandemic games: red zone.

Bloodborne: The Board Game

Bloodborne: The Board Game is part of the collaborative board game and is characterized by dark atmospheres. In this challenging title, 1 to 4 Hunters will have to explore the city of Yharnam through four different campaigns, fighting their way through beasts, monsters and crazed citizens, represented by high quality miniatures. Over the course of a campaign, Hunters will discover a unique story and increase their skills and power. This game is based on Sony Interactive Entertainment's award-winning Bloodborne video game. The release date of this game is scheduled for July 20, 2021.

Project L

Project L is defined as an easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master, board game title. The players start the game with a supply of two pieces. They will use these pieces to complete the puzzles and earn victory points and new pieces that will help them complete puzzles with higher and higher rewards. Arkham Horror - Third Edition: The Secrets of the Order

For the third edition of Arkham Horror, one of the most beloved Myths of Cthulhu themed boxed games, this July 2021 sees the release of a terrifying new expansion: The Secrets of the Order. In this expansion, the wails of the haunted spirits of the dead accompany ghouls as they hunt late at night. Crumbling portals open between our existence and the terrifying World Below. Even in the historic district of French Hill, the Order of the Silver Twilight is plotting to pave the way for a higher power. So Clover!

So Clover! is a collaborative word association box game. Players must draw Keyword cards and secretly write their common characteristics on their Four Leaf Clover board these will be the Clues. They will then have to work together to try to understand each player's Keywords. At the end of the game they will add their score based on how many Keywords they can find and write it in the Register of Legends. In each match they will try to beat their highest score. The release date of this game is scheduled for July 27, 2021

Disney Villainous: Perfectly Wretched

For Disney Villainous, one of the most beloved boxed games dedicated to the Disney world, this July 2021 Ravensburger launches on the market the third Disney Villainous expansion: Perfectly Wretched, long awaited by fans. This expansion, perfectly playable even on its own, players will be able to choose between the three famous Villains Cruella De Mon, Mother Gothel and Gambadilegno and identify with their character. To win, they must explore their character's unique abilities and find out how to achieve their personal goal, linked to the story of the Villain. Each Villain Guide will provide tips and strategies for achieving victory. The three Villains featured in this expansion each have different ways to achieve victory.

Jurassic Park Danger!

Jurassic Park: Danger! is part of the light strategy box games, set in the chaos of Isla Nublar, which will take players on a breathtaking adventure. One player will control the T-Rex, Dilophosaurus, and Velociraptor, who prowl the jungle to attack humans. The other players will control a team of human characters, who work to get the park back online and escape the helipad before it's too late. When a human character is eliminated by the dinosaurs, that human player immediately returns to the game with a new human character. If the human players manage to rescue a certain number of characters, the humans win. But if the dinosaur player manages to eliminate three human characters, the dinosaurs win.
