Apple news coming soon: iPad with oled screen and AirPods Pro 2

Apple news coming soon

Between 2022 and 2023 we will see the first tablets with an organic display and the earphones revised in design and hardware

(Photo: Apple) What's cooking Apple for the next two years? Two of the most succulent advances that have leaked in the past few hours starring the iPads equipped with an oled screen and the second version of wireless headphones, the AirPods Pro 2.

iPad with oled display

The debut of the oled panels on board the iPads will hardly happen this year. According to a recent publication by The Elec, the first model will see the light of commerce in 2022 and will be an iPad Air with a 10.86-inch diagonal, followed in 2023 by an 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro oled. br>
The oleds mounted on the iPad Air will be of the rigid type, while those for the Pro will be flexible. The latter have the advantage of being able to accommodate curved internal components and thinner bezels, as seen in the iPhone field since the 2017 model X.

Recall that an iPad Pro with a mini-led screen was recently presented ( here our review), a technology that can control the illumination of the screen pixels in a very precise and localized way. Every single pixel of oled displays, on the other hand, can light up by itself, but it suffers from greater burn-in (halos) and has less pushed viewing angles and general brightness. it should replace the aluminum back with a protective glass which can also enable wireless charging.

AirPods Pro 2

There is also a lot of expectation on the second generation of the best performing wireless headphones: AirPods Pro 2, however, is not yet on the launch pad and could be waiting until to 2022. Ming-Chi Kuo always anticipates it, who has also specified how the sales forecasts of the first model for 2021 have dropped from 75-85 million to 70-75 million. The debut of the second version, however, should lead to a 100 million year.

What will the new headphones be like? The big addition should be motion sensing sensors for fitness and more precise tracking when you're training. Also possible a design revision with a shorter or even eliminated temple.

Since its 2019 launch, Apple Arcade has amassed almost 200 games in its catalog. In April alone, the service added 30 games including classics like Oregon Trail and Fruit Ninja, as well as new titles like Fantasian from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker from Aquiris and NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition.

Even after April's massive haul and a busy June, there are still more classics to come, as well as new titles like Proxi, from The Sims creator Will Wright, and Artful Escape from Annapurna Interactive.

Details have been thin on the ground about Enter the Construct, except that it was expected to be available at Apple Arcade's launch. At that time, the images and videos showed the game as a first-person sci-fi shooter. Since then, there has been little to no information about Enter the Construct, so it's possible it's taken on a new name or been canceled. Directive Games didn't respond to a request for comment, but we'll update if we hear anything.
