Oddworld: Soulstorm - Dealer lists the game for Xbox
Oddworld
Oddworld: Soulstorm was only released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in April and was even free for a short time for PS + users with a next-gen console. Now there are growing signs that the newest title in the Oddworld franchise is making its way onto the Xbox. A Greek game retailer has listed the game on its website. If the information there is correct, Oddworld: Soulstorm would be released on Microsoft's consoles on July 6, 2021.Recommended editorial content Here you will find external content from [PLATFORM]. Is Oddworld: Soulstorm coming for the Xbox?
There were already indications that Oddworld: Soulstorm hijacked the Xbox. Earlier this month, the game was rated and age-classified for Xbox in Brazil. Only a few days later, the title was rated by the ESRB, the Entertainment Software Rating Board. There has been no announcement from Xbox or Microsoft yet. If the date of the Greek game retailer is correct, it shouldn't be long in coming.Oddworld: Soulstorm (buy now € 149.99) is already the eighth part of the series and actually a remake of Oddworld: Abe's Exodus from 1998. Oddworld: Soulstorm launched as a PlayStation consoles exclusive earlier this year, but more and more it looks like that timed exclusivity period is about to come to an end. Earlier this month, the game was rated for Xbox consoles in Brazil, which was followed a few days later by a similar ESRB classification.
Now, as spotted by Pure Xbox, Greek retailer The Console Club has listed Oddworld: Soulstorm for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The listing mentions a release date of July 6. Though it’s certainly possible that the details on the release date might not be entirely accurate, given the context of previous reports, it seems an Xbox release for the platformer might well be around the corner.
Currently, Oddworld: Soulstorm is available for PS5, PS4, and PC. In our review of the game, we called it “the best and most welcoming game in the series, not to mention the best rounded out one.” You can read our full review through here.
