Mkers are the first Italian export company to become a joint stock company

Mkers hits another historic milestone for the Italian esports sector. Four years after its foundation, Mkers becomes the first Italian eSports spa in history, reaching an important milestone for the Italian competitive gaming industry. The operation, which started on May 17 and assisted by the law firm Tonucci & Partners and the advisor Aetos Partners, took place concurrently with the opening of Round B which brings the total raised to date to over two million euros.

This is a fundamental step for the growth of the Italian panorama, which thus aligns itself with the best international realities: think for example of the famous Danish team Astralis, which - after being listed on the local stock exchange - has also landed in the United States. The same path taken by Guild Esports, a team founded by David Beckham, which in September 2020 managed to raise 41.2 million euros by listing on the LSE. Or even VSPN, a company specializing in the organization of eSports tournaments, which recently closed a round of financing of Series B of 100 million dollars, with the participation of international brands such as Tencent, Tiantu Capital, SIG and Kuaishou. In short, a trend consolidated abroad, but never explored within national borders, before the choice made by Mkers.

The transformation of the company takes place at an extremely prosperous moment for the company: the turnover obtained in 2020, despite the impossibility of exploiting the entire apparatus of live events due to the pandemic, has grown by over 50% compared to the previous year. The projection for 2021 sees Mkers double the value of sales, allowing the company to continue on its growth path, investing in competent and experienced professionals, able to bring the expertise necessary to make reality take a further evolutionary step . In addition, the state-of-the-art facility in terms of technology such as the Gaming House and a pool of over 40 players, project Mkers as the leader of the Italian market.

For example, they will be protagonists of the Spring Split 2021 of the PG Nationals of Rainbow 6 Siege.

Simultaneously with the transformation into SpA, and with the important objective of consolidating and further structuring the internal organization chart, Mkers has carried out a fundamental corporate reorganization, through the revision of roles and building a sports club wholly owned by Mkers SpA At the top we find Thomas De Gasperi, in the role of President, Luca Beccaceci, in the role of Chief Executive Officer, and Paolo Cisaria, General Manager and Director of the Sports Club headed by Mkers S.p.A. Added to this is the entry of important partners who believed in the Mkers project, namely Vlad ChiricheÈ™ and Federico Peluso, current defenders of US Sassuolo Calcio, Marco Parolo, midfielder of SS Lazio, and Sergio Floccari, attacker and captain of SPAL.

The transformation into a joint stock company symbolizes a further and fundamental evolutionary step of the company, which thanks to customers such as AS Roma and sponsors of the caliber of Intesa Sanpaolo, SMI, Official Technological Partner, Dreamsteam, Official Travel Partner, and BeeBad, Official Energy Drink, - to cite just a few -, aims to consolidate and continue to expand: Mkers, in fact, is already projected to the next round of financing, with the aim of raising another 10 million euros and preparing for a future listing on the stock exchange.

"We have reached an important milestone just four years after our establishment", said Thomas De Gasperi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Paolo C isaria, Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors: "our transformation process is closely connected with the structural and organizational growth of Mkers, thanks to significant investments both in the new Gaming House and above all in the staff of professionals who manage our activities on a daily basis. We reach this fundamental milestone in the year in which not only have we won a FIFA 21 Club World Cup, but we have also succeeded in bringing an Italian team to the Rainbow Six Siege World Cup for the first time ".

Luca Beccaceci, new CEO of Mkers, on the other hand, emphasizes the launch of new digital assets: "being the first joint-stock company in our sector fills us with pride. But we are only at the starting line: among our next objectives we have on the one hand the consolidation of our growth path, while on the other hand the launch of Escout.gg, the Scouting platform by Mkers that will allow all gaming enthusiasts competitive to start a professional path, at the same time approaching the most important companies in the sector. A tool that we strongly believe will prove useful to all operators in the eSport world. "
