We finally have a release date for the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, an adaptation of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen - Sorcery Fight 0: Gege Akutami's institute of occult arts, published in Italy by Planet Manga together with the main series. To break the news is the official Twitter account of the anime that has also revealed a new and significant key visual.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will debut on December 24, 2021 in Japan.

We remind you that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is made by Studio MAPPA, which also took care of the anime adaptation of the first part of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga while Toho will take care of the distribution. Seong-Hu Park (The God of High School) is credited as director of the film while and Hiroshi Seko (Dorohedoro) will take care of the scripts.

Jujutsu Kaisen: the manga and the anime

Jujutsu Kaisen - Sorcery Fight is a manga written and drawn by Gege Akutami, published in Shūeisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine starting March 5, 2018. The individual chapters were then collected and published in tankōbon volumes. In Italy, the manga is published by Planet Manga which began publishing it in October 2019. The publishing house has also published the manga prequel Jujutsu kaisen - Sorcery Fight 0: The institute of occult arts.

In a volume full of twists, the prequel of the events narrated in the main series of Jujutsu Kaisen the new hit of Shueisha !. A boy marked by a dark destiny seeks a way to face his own demons by discovering the charm and pitfalls of the occult world ...

Currently the Jujutsu Kainsen manga is on hiatus indefinitely due to the conditions of health of the author and at the moment it is not known when it will start again. The hiatus will begin on June 21, 2021 and this means that the last chapter of the manga to be published will be chapter 151.

As for the anime adaptation, it was produced by MAPPA, for a total of 24 episodes, and premiered on MBS in October 2020. In Italy it is possible to watch the complete series in streaming and legally on Crunchyroll which presents the series as follows:

Back in March, the JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 anime film was announced for a winter debut. The JujuFes 2021 event just wrapped up in Japan, bringing with it some more details, including plans for a December 24, 2021 opening in Japanese cinemas.
