Will God of War Ragnarok be PS5 exclusive?
The announcement of God of War Ragnarok, although all players expected it would be done sooner or later, still left fans of the series in awe. Sony had already confirmed that the new adventure of Kratos and Atreus would arrive on PS5, but this information had created confusion among the community, especially for those who were expecting a release also on PS4. An insider recently revealed some new details on the title that will finally shed some light on the issue.
God of War_20180423210941 According to leaker Navtra, in fact, God of War Ragnarok will be released exclusively on PS5 and therefore will not arrive on the old PS4. There has been talk of this possibility for some time, but now that E3 2021 is upon us, the rumors about the exclusivity of the new console are becoming even more insistent. Navtra said that according to the information in his possession, both God of War Ragnarok and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and Demon's Souls were always planned to be released on the PlayStation 5 only. Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales, or Horizon: Forbidden West, would have been treated as cross-gen games. However, the insider also explains that his information is very outdated and that Sony's plans may have changed. For this reason, Navtra also recommends taking these claims with a grain of salt, as the company's intentions may have changed.
However, we must also honestly agree that seeing God of War Ragnarok only on PS5 might be a better choice, and that it may offer the Santa Monica Studio team the chance to express their creative potential on a platform much more powerful than PS4. What do you think of this eventuality? Would you prefer to be able to play the new God of War also on your PlayStation 4 or would you value the purchase of PlayStation 5 to play the role of Kratos in the next gen?
If you have yet to recover the first God of War, you can buy it on Amazon.
