A rough, Gothic-inspired world awaits you

Drova puts you in a fantasy world in which you are sent out as a novice of the order to ensure that a conflict with the local faction does not escalate in the Land of Draheim. To do this, you explore a large 2D world in which many secrets and dangers lurk for you. You meet the population, who sometimes adopt a rougher tone. If it comes to a fight, you have to use your skills and weapons tactically while keeping an eye on the flow resource. Through this you can unleash powerful powers. Over time you improve the hero and can use more and more powerful powers. You can also trade with the NPCs, choose one of the factions and do many quests.

The developers of Drova have based their game on the Gothic series and present you with an equally rough game world. However, you see what is happening from the 2D pixel perspective. After already being available on itch.io, the free teaser for Drova - Forsaken Kin is now available on Steam and it's been upgraded for the new release.

A society has discovered the power of a dead empire: to capture the spirits that govern nature and rule over them instead. However, the anger of the remaining spirits divided them. The full version is planned to release in 2023, with this teaser being a very early slice of what to expect. The developer mentioned plenty is still to be added, graphics will be upgraded before the full game and so on - all the usual you expect from an unfinished game. Definitely worth a go now though, especially with the intriguing combat mechanics.
