Demon Slayer: Akemi101's Tanjiro vs Spider-Mom cosplay is impressive
Demon Slayer
The success of Demon Slayer is also being reflected in the quantity and quality of cosplay that are emerging, dedicated to the series in question, such as this splendid reconstruction of the fight between Tanjiro and "Spider-Mom", or the fearsome Mother Spider Demon, interpreted respectively from Akemi101xoxo and MariahMallad. It must be taken into account that the scene shown, at least the one visible in its entirety, can easily represent a big spoiler, since it is one of the most important and memorable scenes of the first season of the series anime, so if you don't want any previews it is probably best to avoid looking at the photos.
It's a shame, however, because the set set up by the two cosplayers is truly impressive, both in terms of overall complexity and as a reconstruction of the characters, from the faces to the clothes to the very position of the two in the scene, which perfectly reproduces the final blow inflicted by T anjiro.
In the set of photos that we see below, the scene in which Tanjiro finally eliminates the fearsome Spider Demon is replicated to perfection, with a clean shot of a katana that puts an end to the painful existence of the demon in question . It is a bloody scene, of course, but also represented with remarkable grace, which is a feature common to other situations in Demon Slayer as well.
As for the other cosplay published recently, we refer you to that of Lady Dimitrescu of yayahan from Resident Evil Village, that of Himiko Toga of sailorscholar from My Hero Academia, the cosplay of Nami of sammycosplay from One Piece and that of Aloy of Hura, from Horizon Zero Dawn.

Box Office: ‘Demon Slayer’ Edges Out ‘Mortal Kombat’
Japanese anime blockbuster Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train edged out video game adaptation Mortal Kombat at the weekend box office, according to Sunday estimates.
Demon Slayer grossed $6.4 million from 1,925 theaters for an impressive 10-day domestic total of $34.1 million for Aniplex and Funimation, and north of $450 million globally.
Warner Bros.’ Mortal Kombat took in $6.2 million from 3,113 cinemas for a 10-day domestic tally of $34.1 million.
Final numbers will be released Monday, and could change the order.
Both films fell steeply in their second weekends of play. That’s not entirely unexpected for male fueled, R-rated genre pics.
A week ago, Demon Slayer opened to $21 million in North America, by far the biggest domestic debut of all time for a foreign-language film.
Demon Slayer, released in Japan late last year, is the top-grossing film of all time in that country at more than $361 million. It is also the biggest anime ever. Through Sunday, the movie has earned well north of $400 million.
Like all other 2021 titles, Mortal Kombat — based on the blockbuster martial arts video game — debuted simultaneously this weekend on HBO Max.
Overseas, Mortal Kombat took in $3 million for the weekend for a foreign tally of $22.8 million and $66.9 million globally.
Legendary and Warners’ Godzilla vs. Kong continued to make panemic-era history as it crossed the $90 million threshold. Globally, the tentpole finished Sunday with an estimated $415.4 million in worldwide ticket sales.
In North America, the only new wide release was Open Road’s horror entry Separation, which debuted to a meek $1.8 million.
