Resident Evil 9 will be in first person and will close the trilogy
While all fans of the Capcom series are waiting to be able to play Resident Evil Village, perhaps with the alleged new demo, a well-known insider already anticipates some details on the ninth chapter of the saga. With the seventh chapter we had made the acquaintance of Ethan Winters by playing him in the house of the Baker family, and with the same character we will soon be able to explore the village of Resident Evil Village. The insider, with a post on ResetEra, may have already revealed some interesting information on the ending of the adventures of the protagonist.
Dusk Golem, who has been noticed by the community for his statements that often turned out to be true, is back to comment on Resident Evil Village also revealing some information regarding Resident Evil 9, not yet announced. The first noteworthy is that, according to Dusk Golem, the choice to set the eighth chapter as a direct sequel to the seventh was made very early in development, and that many details of Resident Evil 7 will be explained more in Village.
We then discover that Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 9 will be linked together, thus forming a trilogy currently in development in Capcom studios. This could in all likelihood mean that Resident Evil 9 will also be in first person as the seventh and ninth chapters. Golem also suspects that after the conclusion of the trilogy, the team will want to focus more on creating individual stories unrelated to previous titles, abandoning the numbering of games.
(2/2) RE7> RE8> RE9 have a connected, planned out story as all ended up in dev close together.
I also suspect this is why they want to move past numbered titles after RE9, to tell more self-contained stories rather than have to plan out stories ahead of time, but its cool here.

The revelations end with a final detail that does not concern video games but the awaited TV series: Dusk Golem says that Albert Wesker will make his return and that the events will take place in New Raccoon City, through two periods temporal. In case this information turns out to be true, it will certainly be interesting to see how Capcom will evolve one of the historical characters of the saga.
Given the importance of the series, it is more than legitimate that the team is investing so much effort and resources in making great quality chapters. However, although the figure of Dusk Golem is very followed for his reliability, we can only advise taking this information with a grain of salt as there is still no official confirmation from Capcom. For this reason, as always, we recommend that you follow our pages so as not to miss more updates on this issue.
