Nintendo Switch: All new games from the Indie World

After the (real!) Direct in February and a livestream to Super Smash Bros. Utimate in March, another presentation from Nintendo followed in April: The next Indie World was on Wednesday evening! In a live stream of around 20 minutes, Nintendo presented viewers on YouTube, Twitch and Co. exactly 21 indie games for the Switch. A few of them even appeared immediately after the presentation, the rest for the most part will come in the course of the current year. As part of the new Indie World, a lot of indie games are currently being reduced in the Switch eShop.Also interesting: The Switch Lite will appear in a new color in May

Nintendo has shown the following 21 games in the new Indie World. The order corresponds to that from the presentation. The release date of the title is given in brackets after the game title.Road 96 (2021) The game by DigixArt from southern France is inspired by road movies from the 90s and relies on a procedurally generated game world, the focus is on narration. You slip into the roles of different days, get to know a lot of NPCs and use thousands of different paths on your journey towards freedom. Aerial_Knight's Never Yield (May 19, 2021) An endless runner with driving music from a small team of developers from Detroit (USA). As the protagonist Willy, you fight your way through a futuristic version of Detroid in Japanese style in hectic parkour action. Last Stop (July 2021) Published by Annapurna Interactive, you play your way through three interwoven family stories. Hindsight (2021) A narrative adventure with simple but beautiful graphics. OlliOlliWorld (Winter 2021) A lively 2D action platformer set on the island of Radland, where you will meet the legendary skate gods. The Longing (already published) The game comes from a German indie developer from Stuttgart (Studio Seufz), you play a so-called "shadow", the last servant of the king who once ruled the underground kingdom. Your task: wait 400 days for the king to return. It's real, real 400 days! Until then, you can do whatever you want. There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension (already published) A point & click adventure with puzzles and various mini-games.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (2021) A sidescrolling beat 'em up with the legendary Teentage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the style of the classic TMNT games. GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon (2022) A hack & slash rogue-lite in the Japanese style with many dungeons, boss fights and a game world in the depths of the underworld. Aztech Forgotten Gods (Fall 2021) The 3D action adventure from Mexico mixes Mexican history with futuristic elements. Skul: The Hero Slayer (Summer 2021) A 2D action platformer with roguelike elements, you play an immortal skeleton who goes into battle. A total of 90 interchangeable heads are available for the character, each head has special and different abilities. Art of Rally (Summer 2021) A top-down racing game with simple but nice graphics.
