The Last of Us Part 2: BAFTA record with 13 nominations
The Last of Us Part 2
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts will present its annual Gaming Awards on March 25th. The so-called BAFTA Games Awards are highly regarded in the industry and being nominated for this award is always a reason to be happy for many developers and publishers. The Academy recently announced the nominees for this year's award ceremony on its official website. Naughty Dog, who was nominated 13 times for The Last of Us Part 2, was happy about most of the mentions. The action adventure has thus set a new record for most nominations that no other title has achieved since the award was first created in 2004.The Last of Us Part 2 (buy now € 42.50) is nominated for best animation, best music and best game design, among others. In addition, five actors, Ashley Johnson (Ellie), Laura Bailey (Abby), Troy Baker (Joel), Jeffrey Pierce (Tommy) and Shannon Woodward (Dina), were nominated for best leading or supporting actors. Amazingly, the game was not considered in the category for Best Narration. Here the title has to give way to games like Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Hades. The Last of Us Part 2 is of course also part of the main prize of the game of the year.
