Two days ago, the Swedish publisher Free League Publishing announced the upcoming release of Alberetor - The Haunted Waste, a new adventure for the acclaimed dark fantasy "pen and paper" role-playing game Symbaroum.

The time has come to explore the ravaged and darkened lands south of the Titan Mountains. The people of the Davokar region are threatened by war and famine when a deadliest aggressor appears in the shade of the tall trees of the forest edge…

Alberetor - The Haunted Waste is the fifth adventure of the campaign The Chronicle of the Throne of Thorns for the role-playing game Symbaroum and will be released later this year. Each campaign adventure can be played alone or linked, depending on the players' choice, as they are all part of the same epic saga. Alberetor - The Haunted Waste will also include support for players to create their own adventures in the lost lands of the south and war-torn Umbria.

This new product for Symbaroum will cost $ 39.99 and is now available for pre-order in the Free League Publishing online shop, either individually or as a discounted bundle including a collection of other Symbaroum RPG adventures. The pre-order also guarantees the possibility to download a PDF file in BETA version of Alberetor - The Haunted Waste, as soon as it is ready, which should take place towards the end of the second quarter of 2021. In addition to the PDF, the pre-order also offers a exclusive digital artbook, which will not be made available in any other way.

For those unfamiliar with it, Symbaroum is an acclaimed dark fantasy RPG in which players explore the vast Davokar Forest in search of treasures, lost wisdoms and fame. But whatever they do, player characters must never ignore the warnings uttered by the guardians of the forest: "walk carefully and don't disturb the ruins of the past, because the dark depths of Davokar are about to awaken". Finally, we remind you that the role-playing game Symbaroum is published in Italy, localized in our language, by the SpaceOrange42 publishing house.

Free League details The Haunted Waste of Alberetor in a new Symbaroum adventure

Alberetor – The Haunted Waste is the fifth part in The Chronicle of the Throne of Thorns campaign for the dark fantasy RPG Symbaroum.

The adventure can be run as a standalone or interlinked with the scenarios already published for the gritty roleplaying game.

In Alberetor – The Haunted Waste, players will explore south of the dreaded Titan Mountains and discover that those who dwell in the Davokar region are threatened by war, famine and something horrible.

The supplement will also let GMs create their own adventures in war-torn Ambria and the south’s lost lands. The book comes with maps and descriptions for Alberetor and Lyastra, with dozens of people written up for use, locations and events that PCs might encounter.

There are rules for travelling in the south, random challenge tables and more on the Ambrian civil war with turning points and plot hooks for adventures in the battle-weary realm.

As rewards, the accessory also contains tables of curiosities PCs might discover, mystical treasures and artifacts.

Alberetor – The Haunted Waste is slated for an early second-quarter release this year, will cost $39.99 and is available for pre-order from Free League’s own store. Pre-orders now result in a beta copy of the PDF. Pre-orders on an exclusive art book are also available.
