Sky Cinema Harry Potter, a channel dedicated to the iconic series arrives

Sky announces that, for the first time ever, the Sky Cinema Collection (channel 303 of the Sky Cinema package) changes its name and becomes, from Saturday 27 March to Sunday 11 April, Sky Cinema Harry Potter. This is the first channel entirely dedicated to the film saga inspired by the series of books born from the pen of J.K. Rowling and played on the big screen by Daniel Radcliffe, with Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Alan Rickman, the ambiguous Severus Snape.

All eight films in the Harry saga Potter, blockbusters, will also be available on demand on Sky and streaming on NOW. In addition, for Sky Q satellite customers the films are also available on demand in 4K HDR.

Sky Cinema Harry Potter - the saga in short

It all began in 2001 when Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone directed by Chris Columbus was released in cinemas. On his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter discovers he is the orphaned son of two wizards and possesses magical powers of his own. At Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, learn the sport of Quidditch and play an exciting "live" game of chess while facing a Dark Wizard bent on destroying him.



A year later, here's Harry Potter and Chris Columbus' Chamber of Secrets. Cars fly, trees react, and a mysterious house elf comes to warn Harry at the start of his second school year at Hogwarts. Adventure and danger are around the corner when a bloody sign on a wall announces that "The Chamber of Secrets" has been opened. To save Hogwarts you will need all the magical powers and courage of Harry, Ron and Hermione.



In 2004 Alfonso Cuaròn directed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. In their third year at Hogwarts, Harry, Ron and Hermione meet the fugitive prisoner Sirius Black and learn the delicate art of approaching a Hippogriff, half horse and half eagle, fending off multiform Boggins and mastering the art of divination. Harry must also face the soul-sucking Dementors, collide with a dangerous werewolf and uncover the truth about Sirius and his relationship with Harry and his parents.

The director of the fourth chapter of the saga, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is entrusted to Mike Newell. Harry Potter mysteriously enters the Triwizard Tournament, a grueling battle between three schools of wizards where he must compete with a dragon, water demons and an enchanted labyrinth, only to find himself in the cruel grip of Lord Voldemort. Everything changes as Harry, Ron and Hermione leave the age of innocence for good and face challenges beyond their imaginations.



The fifth film, Harry Potter and the 'Order of the Phoenix marks the entry of David Yates (who will direct all subsequent films) as director. Rebellion begins. Lord Voldemort is back, but the Ministry of Magic tries to keep the truth in check by appointing a new, power-hungry Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. Ron and Hermione convince Harry to secretly train the students for the magical war that awaits them. A terrifying showdown between good and evil is brewing.

It's 2009 when Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out. With Lord Voldemort tightening his grip on both the muggle and wizarding worlds. Albus Dumbledore is intent on preparing Harry for the rapidly approaching battle. Even as the showdown approaches, romance blossoms for Harry, Ron, Hermione, and their classmates. Love is in the air, but danger is upon us and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

In 2010 and 2011, the final chapters follow one another. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Harry, Ron and Hermione are determined to track down and destroy Voldemort's secret of power, the Horcruxes. Alone and on the run, the three must rely on each other more than ever, but the Dark Forces threaten to tear them apart.



Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 . In the epic finale, the battle between the forces of good and evil in the Wizarding World turns into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. But it is Harry who can be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he approaches a showdown with Lord Voldemort. Everything ends here.
