Lenovo ThinkEdge SE30 and SE50 for Edge Computing

On the occasion of the Embedded World 2021 event staged for obvious reasons in an exclusively digital version, Lenovo announced two new devices in the ThinkEdge range for the Edge Computing market. They have been designed to be compact, robust and with enough computing power to meet the needs of enterprises in terms of computing, security and scalability.

Edge Computing: Lenovo introduces ThinkEdge SE30 and SE50

The first of the two takes the name of ThinkEdge SE30 and is designed for workstations such as kiosks and ATMs in the so-called Smart Retail as well as for automated production lines in manufacturing and for monitoring medical devices. These are the characteristics: 11th generation Intel Core i5 vPro processors for industrial computing, up to 16 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage, fanless cooling and operating temperature range between -20 ° and 60 ° C, 4G modules and 5G (the latter will come later).



Then there is the ThinkEdge SE50 designed for real-time analysis of data from IoT devices. It is able, among other things, to filter and forward information across the WAN to the cloud or data center. It also benefits from optimized software that takes advantage of the OpenVINO toolkit. Features 11th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 vPro processors for industrial computing, 32GB of memory and up to 2TB of storage, fanless cooling and operating temperature range between 0 ° and 50 ° Celsius, IP50 certified, chassis two-liter with a full range of industrial I / O.
