What would the release of a new video game be without tons of rumors? That's probably what Modern Warzone thought and fueled the rumor mill. According to them, the new title will be called Call of Duty WW2: Vanguard and is being developed by Sledgehammer Games. Vanguard is said to be set in the 1950s, in an alternative timeline in which World War II was not ended in 1945.Meanwhile, Eurogamer has also spoken out and has confirmed some parts of the leak, but denied some . According to them, Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard is the real working title of the game and is also being developed by Sledgehammer Games.

What exactly Eurogamer means by "not quite right" is difficult to say. Could 1950 be involved in any way?
It should be noted that both Eurogamer and Modern Warzone statements are nothing but rumors, although both sides are fairly trustworthy sources.
