Stardew Valley: Console version receives huge free update
While the major update 1.5 for the PC version of Stardew Valley was released at the end of last year, console gamers are only now enjoying the new features. As developer Eric Barone aka Concerned Ape announced on Twitter, the current version of the farm simulation is finally available for Switch, Xbox One and Playstation 4. With 1.5 it will be possible for the first time to experience Stardew Valley in split-screen co-op mode. At the beginning there is also a new farm type as well as various start defaults to choose from, which further individualize your game.
With the new farm The layout is the beach farm, which offers a number of opportunities for fishing and collecting flotsam, but on whose loose soil no sprinkler systems work. Players are forced to strategically sow their plants and water them manually as efficiently as possible.

There are new areas and caves to explore, a new NPC to meet, quests and monsters to do, additional farm animals to be housed, plants to be harvested, trees to be cut down and seeds to be planted. However, all innovations are only revealed to the player in the course of a complete round.
In addition to the additional features and content, there are also some long-awaited Quality-of-Life upgrades. So from now on you can put your bed wherever you want and basically have more freedom in the design of your farmhouse and in the placement of new courtyard buildings. It is now also possible to move buildings in co-op mode.
