To participate in the Receipt Lottery it is necessary to obtain an alphanumeric code, associated with the tax code, which must be shown to the merchant before issuing the receipt. This code, printed on the receipt, is transmitted electronically by the end of the day.The receipt must be kept as a guarantee for the product purchased or to exchange goods. It can also be used to check correspondence with those extracted, visible in the public area of the portal (it is not necessary to check in the restricted area). The payment of the premiums is subject to the presentation, if not in the possession of the Administration, of documentation certifying that the payment has been made through electronic payment instruments, such as bank statement or similar or equivalent document showing that the purchase was made with electronic payment instruments.
This means that the receipt is not sufficient to prove the cashless payment. By “similar document” we probably mean the receipt issued by the POS. In some cases, the account statement is sent by post every three months (for example for some Bancoposta current accounts), so there is a risk of exceeding the 90 days within which to collect the premium.
