The game world of Nine to Five is a dystopian future in which powerful corporations openly wage war with one another for world domination. As a mercenary, you work on behalf of such a corporate conglomerate and on your missions you have to deal with employees of other companies who each pursue their own goals and are hostile to you.
Nine to Five is the first project realized by Redhill Games, a studio founded by former Remedy CEO Matias Myllyrinne. Three teams with three players each compete in three shifts or rounds. The gameplay not only consists of shooting each other over the heap, there are also various goals to be achieved, which change dynamically with the course of the game. A special aspect of Nine to Five is that a match, contrary to what the game title suggests, can be completed in a sporty 15 minutes. The aim is to also pick up players who cannot spend as much time playing games during the day.
